Sydney Masters team recap
Fairfield Phoenix Baseball Club entered a team to play in the Masters competetion which was held the long weekend (Queen's Birthday Weekend) 07/06/14 to 08/06/14 in Hawkesbury, 4 games being played on Saturday start at 09:30hrs. The team performed fairly well over the 2 days of competition. The team finished 3rd overall. The competition was won by Hawkesbury where they defeated Kellyville Colts. The club would like to thank those supporters who turned up and cheered on their team, and also takes the opportunity to thank all the players that gave up their valuable time to play in this event.
Club AGM and Junior Presentation
The club's Annual General Meeting and Junior Presentation took place held on Sunday 27/07/14 at 10am at the clubhouse.
After 13 years serving the club with distinction Mr Darryl West stood down as President and a new President Mr Arnie KaraKoc was elected and a new committee was also elected, Vice President Matthew Featon, Secretary Brian Slack, Treasurer Chris Hurley, Senior Co-ordinator Chris Hambridge, Junior Co-ordinator Kereana McGregor, Canteen Manager Jenny Zammit, Groundsman/Gear Steward Peter Shaw and Patron Steven Vigani.
The Junior presentation went well with all juniors receiving well deserved trophys with helmets handed out to the under 8's and junior kit bags to the under 12's. The Lyn White Memorial trophy was won by Tyrone Mariner from the under 12's and the Jack Clucas trophy was won by Chelsea of the under 8's.
Congratulations to all winners and the parents that supported the club throughout the Summer season, hope to see you all in the upcoming season 2014/2015.
The Junior season commences on the 6th of September 2014, 1st training session is on Saturday 2nd of August at 9am and to conclude on the 30th August.
